Sonic Games Available in the Internet
Sonic the Hedgehog, also known as the Blue Blur among his loyal followers, have been generating an increased interest for the free sonic games available in the Internet. Online Google searches for the blue blur character have reached 500 thousand per month and climbing. It is not very difficult to find versions of the early sonic games remade in flash, and available to play free online. One could assume that this could hurt sales for the character creator SEGA of America, but perhaps the increased availability of sonic in the Internet for free only makes him more popular than ever, enticing players young and old to reach out for a more developed and sophisticated retail version of the game which would be too difficult to put online.
Sonic games available online are made in Adobe Flash, a program originally developed by Macromedia in 1996. With the acquisition of the software by Adobe, a few improvements were added to the code. Ease of use, flexibility, and a pack of new features have made Flash software so much easier to use that a talented beginner could learn at home and create a multimedia flash application in as little as 7 days. With the ease of use, the amount of coders willing to learn and make a living out of flash code development has surged, and so has the price. Consequently, the amount of website owners willing to sponsor a game have also increased. Flash sonic games are more complex, with more special effects, enthusiastic themes and enticing background music. Capturing the excitement of a sonic adventure, including the rush of sonic’s speed racing, green background hills, treasure collecting and fighting foes. Sonic games appear in cyberspace in a variety of genres, including sonic adventure games, sonic puzzle games, flash scene creators, sonic action games and a horde of other activities all made in flash.
So what is the hype surrounding this unlikely hero? What stirs consumers to buy over 10 million copies of his latest game title? I guess we will never know for sure. What we do know is that SEGA of America has joined forces with Nintendo for the first time ever as they put together two teams for their latest game title – Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Games. That’s right folks, our hero sonic will team up with Nintendo’s character Mario for a collection of winter sports. The game is due to be released in time for the Winter Olympic games in Vancouver, Canada in 2010. New and improved game playing technology, game features and better console controls are sure to provide fans with a video game playing experience to remember.

Child’s Play $10.40 Horror maestro Tom Holland (Fright Night) brought wit and devilish energy to this 1988 scarefest about a murderer (Brad Dourif) who wills his soul into an innocuous doll named Chucky, and reveals himself only to the toy’s owner, a frightened little boy. Catherine Hicks plays the child’s mother, and Chris Sarandon a detective; neither of them knows what to make of the kid’s story. Monster-doll stor… |

Highlander: Final Dimension [VHS] $4.63 One must assume that Christopher Lambert signed a contract forcing him to make this second sequel to the 1986 cult film Highlander. Unless he was paid an enormous amount of money, there is no explanation for his appearance in this abysmal movie. The original feature, which was graced with the presence of Sean Connery, was a critical yawn but attracted a cult following on the strength of its supern… |

Stargate [VHS] $1.19 Before they unleashed the idiotic mayhem of Independence Day and Godzilla, the idea-stealing team of director Roland Emmerich and producer-screenwriter Dean Devlin concocted this hokey hit about the discovery of an ancient portal capable of zipping travelers to “the other side of the known universe.” James Spader plays the Egyptologist who successfully translates the Stargate’s hieroglyphic code, … |
